Spa manicure follows the same protocol as the pedicure but for hands, without the leg massage component.

How long it lasts

A spa pedicure keeps feet in good condition for 3 to 4 weeks depending on nail growth rate and sole wear. Nail polish on feet lasts longer than on hands because feet have less contact with water and cleaning products: a dark-toned polish can stay chip-free for 2 to 3 weeks with normal care.

Aftercare

Hands and feet after a spa pedicure can be sensitive for a few hours due to exfoliation and cuticle work. Avoid tight footwear immediately after the service to protect the fresh polish for the first two hours. Do not apply heavy creams over fresh nail polish; wait at least an hour before moisturising. Moisturise the soles with 10 or 20% urea cream once a day to maintain the exfoliation effect between sessions.

Step by step

The spa pedicure starts with a 10 to 15 minute foot soak in hot mineral salt water to soften skin and cuticles. Then cuticles are worked, nails are filed to the chosen shape and heels and soles are exfoliated with pumice or a granular cream. The leg and foot massage lasts 5 to 10 minutes. Finally a moisturiser and your chosen polish are applied.
